The most successful album ever released by Ike & Tina Turner, 1971’s Workin’ Together blends Ike Turner originals with covers of popular songs from the Beatles and of course the couple’s signature tune and Grammy winner, Proud Mary by Creedence Clearwater Revival. The first of three Ike And Tina Turner albums issued in 1963 had its moments, but overall was rather listless from a material standpoint. There wasn't a standout track among the batch; only Turner's shattering vocals and some good funky backdrops by Ike Turner's band saved things from total disaster.
